Day 1
Arrival day free afternoon
Day 2 – (all day trip)
Wadowice – Karol Wojtyla's birthplace – his home and the place where John Paul the II was born. The Church of our Lady – his parish church where he was baptized and served in his early years as an altar boy.
On the way from Wadowice we will stop in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska the second biggest pilgrimage centre in Poland. - After the death of young Karol's mother, his father took him there, to the shrine of St.Mary and told him :”this is your mother now” - many people believe this story explains why Holy Father always emphasized his great dedication to St.Mary.
Lagiewniki – The Divine Mercy Shrine visited by thousands of pilgrims each year. Here we see the burial place of St. Faustina, who had visions of Christ All Mercifull and started spreading the message of Merciful God. Place where Pope John Paul II used to pray in difficult years of World War II when he was obliged to work as slave worker in nearby SOLVAY chemical factory.
Day 3 (4 hours visiting in Krakow)
Krakow - Jagiellonian University where John Paul II studied literature and philosophy, Collegium Maius, The Franciscan Church Karol Wojtyla used to pray in his own pew.
Archbishops palace - The famous window from which Pope John Paul the II nd spoke to the thousands of people waiting to see him and receive his blessing.
The cathedral at the Wawel Hill.
Church of the Holy Virgin Mary.
