Introduction

During this tour we move more than 500 years back – to the medieval Krakow. We discover what the life looked like at that time seeing all its medieval remains. We learn about the functions of the buildings, people who used to live in the past and their proffessions. We also listen to the old stories and legends that give us the spirit of this old city.

Program

During the tour we walk around the are of the Main Market Square discovering all the remains of the splendid medieval history of Krakow. We visit the Cloth Hall to see where the merchants used to trade… and find the traces of a crime that took place here 600 years ago. In St. Mary’s Church we admire the biggest medieval altar of Europe. It is not only an amazing work of art but also a symbol of wealth and vision of the people who founded it. Then we follow the remains of medieval walls and try to make a map of the fortifications and the defensive system of the city. We also visit the most famous defender of the city – the trumpeter in the tower of St. Mary’s Church!
