This place can not be found on any map. For people living in Wola Justowska, it is the second most beautiful neighbourhood in Cracow, after the old town. Visitors come here mostly by accident, residents want to retain it for themselves. This neighbourhood has an old beautiful and historic park, called Decius Park. In this Park, close to Villa Decius, there is an Art Gallery of sculptures of Bronislaw Chromy.

The history of Bunkier goes back to the year 1950 when Minister of Culture and Art decides to establish in Krakow branch of the Central Bureau of Art Exhibitions (CBWA). The seat of Bunkier Sztuki, designed specifically for the BWA, was built in 1965 . In 1994 the gallery was given the status of municipal gallery, which was symbolized by official change of name. The Bureau of Art Exhibitions (often called Gallery BWA), adopted the name the Gallery of Contemporary Art Bunkier Sztuki.

Masters of Japanese printmaking
There may be many International Exhibitions, Biennials and Triennials, but for the Japanese art community it is the Kraków Print Triennial that is held dearest and most special. This is the result of not only nearly 40 years of exchange betwe-en the countries but also the fact that in both Japan and Poland printmaking has traditionally held an important position above other art genres. I have no doubt that this is still the case. Sińce we joined positively for the first exhibition in 1966 we have continued to exchange work, and for us the name Kraków has come to stand as a symbol of international cultural exchange between Poland and Japan.

The "2 Worlds" gallery is located in Cracow's old Jewish District of Kazimierz, well known as a magic place that simply buzzes with life and where the past and the present blend into one. Today, visitors can feel a new quality of life sweeping through the district fostered by the city's artistic community, the district's local inhabitants, its pub and cafe goers as well as by the large number of tourists who come here.
